Sleat & Strath travelled up to Struan on Tuesday night (24th) for their 2nd of 4 games in a 10 day period that started with the 8-0 Ross Cup Semi Final win in Dunvegan Friday past, where Gordy McCarrol reached the 40 mark for the season. With some players not available for mid week, there were 4 changes to the line up from Friday night.

It was a good game on a tight pitch. Struan fought hard for the entire match, and can hold their heads high for their effort. But Sleat & Strath were the better team, and 15 minutes in Fraser Graham scored a fine solo goal. Connaire Yoxon finished off a great move that was started in midfield by James Munley to make it 2-0 just before half time. James was a tower of strength all game in his central midfield role.

10 minutes into the second half saw another fine run from a winger, but this time it was Jamie Graham making it, and executing with a fine finish. Callum Mattinson made it 2 goals in 2 games in the 70th minute, his reward for yet another hard graft of a solid 90 minutes of running.

Struan rued some poor finishing, and John Davie had to be sharp, otherwise they may have scored on more than one occasion.

Next up for Sleat & Strath is a trip to Uig on Saturday to face Portree in the Ross Cup final, and the manager is expecting to have his full squad available at his disposal. The game is scheduled for a 4pm kick off.
