Team Information

Sleat and Strath AFC of south Skye, founded in 1972 as Sleat FC and later renamed in 1987, play their matches at Kinloch in the middle of a Forestry Commission site infamous for its midges. They are currently managed by DL MacKinnon who, after years of rebuilding the club, brought it the success in 2010 that they had come close to on many occasions, league champions.

Manager - DL MacKinnon

Returning to the club in 2007 after 3 years, DL went about rebuilding Sleat & Strath as a club. A lot of the regular seasoned players saw less time in favour of youths, many who had played in the disbanded juniors team. The restructuring has been a great success after 17 year old Connaire Yoxon was named SENIOR player of the year in 2009, the team went on to have a record breaking year in 2010 where they won every game in the league to be crowned champions, the first league win for the club in 27 years. This record was equalled in 2011 as the team again won every league game. The team also progressed through 1 round of the Scottish Amateur cup which it entered for the first time in several years.
